The Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB) was the largest communist party in Great Britain between andalthough it never became a mass party like those in France and Italy. Founded in by the merger of several smaller Marxist parties, the party gained the support of many socialist organisations and workers' committees during the period after World War I and the Russian October Ideology: Communism, Marxism–Leninism.

Ahead of the Second Congress of the Communist International, held in July through AugustLenin sent out a number of documents, including his Twenty-one Conditions to all socialist parties. The Congress adopted the 21 conditions as prerequisites for any Founder: Vladimir Lenin.
